In the ever-evolving world of inline skating, few individuals have made as significant an impact as Dustin Latimer. His contributions to the sport are undeniable, and now, he's bringing something revolutionary to the industry. The USD Shadow Dustin Latimer inline skate, available for pre-order on October 13th, is a groundbreaking creation that pays homage to the past while embracing the future. This blog post delves into the remarkable features and design elements of this extraordinary skate.

    A Skating Dream Realized

Dustin Latimer's blading journey has been nothing short of legendary. He's been at the forefront of the sport for years, making him an icon in the skating community. His latest project, the USD Shadow DL as part of USD's 25th anniversary collection is a testament to his passion and dedication. In his own words, it's a creation of revolutionary proportion, and it's set to take the industry by storm.

    A Nostalgic Homage

One look at the USD Shadow and you'll notice its color scheme pays homage to Dustin's favorite USD Throne Classic skates. This nod to the past is a celebration of the history and culture of skating. It's a reminder of the classic designs that have inspired generations of skaters.

    The Footwrap Design Reimagined

Thanks to the work of Shadow master minds: Matthew D. Kenneth D. Eugen E.and Matthias K. the USD Shadow rekindles the spirit of the original DL Xsjado skates with a reimagined footwrap design. Unlike most footwear, the footwraps and crossliners of the Shadow skate aren't primarily intended for walking. Instead, they are optimized for providing additional stability, heel lock, and power transfer while skating. This design emphasizes the core purpose of inline skates, delivering a skate that performs exceptionally well.

Innovative Xgrip Outsole and Lower Center of Gravity

The new Xgrip outsole is molded after the Shadow soulplate, ensuring a seamless fit between the components of the skate. This integration, coupled with the Shadow cuff and shock absorber, results in a lower center of gravity. The benefits are numerous, including enhanced lateral support, improved fit, superior cushioning, secured heel lock and reinforced toecap. Skaters can expect a responsive ride that's second to none.

    Tailored for the Perfect Fit

The USD Shadow comes in single sizes ranging from 38 to 47 EU, ( 6 to 12,5 US ) making it easier for skaters to find their ideal fit. The upper cuff features cuff padding and a suitable closure system, ensuring that every aspect of the skate is designed for comfort and performance.

Kizer Type X Frame and Advanced Technology

The USD Shadow DL boasts the Kizer Type X frame, an homage to the old Xsjado Mook frames, but with upgraded Kizer technology. This frame is designed to provide skaters with optimal control and precision during their tricks and maneuvers on all obsticles.

    High-Performance Components

To complete the package, the USD Shadow is equipped with USD Team 58mm 90A Ultra High Rebound (UHR) wheels and Wicked ABEC 9 bearings. These components ensure a smooth and efficient roll, making it easier for skaters to tackle different terrains with ease.

USD  has brought us the DL Shadow back, and it's a testament to the endless possibilities within skating. As we anticipate the pre-order release on October 13th, skaters and enthusiasts alike can look forward to experiencing the future of skating with this groundbreaking skate. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this campaign in the skating world.
