Built around the proven FR1 platform, this new generation retains the support, control, durability, and versatility that have made the FR1 80 a reference for urban skating, while introducing a new lighter frame and a more refined overall finish.

At the heart of this evolution is a newly designed 243 mm frame. Its cleaner, more minimalist profile reduces visual bulk while delivering a significant technical improvement: the new frame is 15% lighter than the previous FR1 80 frame.

The result is a more modern setup that reduces unnecessary weight while preserving the stable and responsive 4×80 mm configuration that defines the FR1 80.

The skate also receives a more understated premium finish. The buckles and buckle heads now feature a matte black finish, creating a cleaner and more sophisticated appearance across all three colors: Black, White, and Stone White.

FR1 80 V3 – THE EVOLUTION OF AN URBAN REFERENCE

For years, the FR1 80 has occupied the central position in the FR SKATES freeride range.

Its combination of a rigid shell, supportive cuff, precise frame positioning, and compact 4×80 mm setup makes it particularly well suited to freeride, city skating, technical urban skating, and freestyle-oriented sessions.

The V3 develops this established formula rather than changing its character.

The rigid polymer shell provides the structural support required for precise skating and strong lateral control, while the articulated cuff supports the ankle without preventing the movements needed for dynamic urban skating.

Adjustable cuff buttons allow the cuff position to be fine-tuned, while the 7-hole Energy Plates with 165 mm mounting provide multiple frame-positioning possibilities to adapt the setup to the skater’s preferences.

NEW 15% LIGHTER FRAME

The most significant technical evolution of the FR1 80 V3 is its newly designed frame.

Keeping the compact 243 mm / 4×80 mm configuration, the new frame features a more minimalist construction and is 15% lighter than the previous version.

Reducing frame weight improves the overall efficiency of the setup, particularly during repeated direction changes, accelerations, crossovers, transitions, and technical urban movements.

At the same time, the familiar 4×80 mm configuration keeps the skate low to the ground and provides the balance of stability and maneuverability that has made the FR1 80 so versatile.

It is a setup designed to feel equally at home weaving through the city, training technical freeride movements, or simply covering distance with confidence.

CONTROL, SUPPORT AND COMFORT

The FR1 platform is designed around a supportive hard-shell construction.

Combined with the articulated cuff and secure closure system, it provides the foot and ankle support required for controlled, responsive skating.

Inside, the removable and replaceable liner provides comfort while allowing the skate to be maintained, customized, or refreshed over time.

Premium insoles complete the internal setup.

The closure combines secure upper and mid-foot retention with the new matte black hardware, giving the FR1 80 V3 a cleaner visual identity without compromising the robust construction expected from the FR range.

PROVEN 4×80 MM PERFORMANCE

The FR1 80 V3 remains built around one of the most versatile configurations in urban skating.

Its FR Street Invaders 80 mm / 84A wheels provide the combination of grip, control, and durability required for everyday freeride and city skating.

They are paired with FR Twincam MW9 Titalium Freeride bearings for smooth and efficient rolling performance.

Together with the new lighter 243 mm frame, this configuration keeps the FR1 80 responsive enough for technical skating while retaining the stability needed for fast and confident urban use.

Available in Black, White, and Stone White, the FR1 80 V3 introduces a more restrained visual language to the FR range.

The minimalist frame design and matte black buckle components give the skate a cleaner and more unified appearance, while retaining the recognizable architecture of the FR1.
