Everything about protection sets

Inline skating can be a lot of fun, but it's important to protect yourself while participating in this activity. Protection sets are a convenient and affordable way to get the protection you need while skating.

There are several brands of protection sets available, including Move, Powerslide, Tempish, Bullet, and TSG. These sets usually include knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards. The pads are designed to wrap around your body like a sock and provide a comfortable, non-invasive fit while skating.

It's important to find the right fit when purchasing a protection set. Everyone's body is different, and it's especially important for women to ensure they get the right size since their wrists are usually smaller and all protection sets have a Male body ratio as the standard.
While it's possible to mix and match in our store, it can be more difficult to find the right size when shopping online.

Kneep protection
Knee pads are an essential part of any protection set. Even experienced skaters can benefit from wearing knee pads, as they can help to reduce the severity of falls and prevent injury. "Set" knee pads are generally more affordable, with prices ranging from 15-30 euros. These knee pads are usually good for 50-100 falls and are less invasive while skating. "Pro" knee pads, which cost from 35 to 100 euros, are designed to last longer and offer more protection.

Elbow protection
Elbow pads are not always necessary, but they can provide an extra sense of security while skating. It is the least used part of any protection set.

Fun fact is that elbow and knee pads are actually the same, except for the size. Hence a small knee pad will be the same design as a big elbow pad. Elbow can be cheaper though so they are a steal if you can fit them on your knees.

Wrist protection
Wrist guards, on the other hand, are essential for preventing the most common type of injury in inline skating – wrist fractures. Standard wrist guards are generally sufficient, but more expensive options offer better protection. Brands to consider include Pro-Tec, TSG, and Ennui. It's also a good idea to wear gloves while skating to protect your hands. Protection gloves are more flexible so that it offers greater controle during the fall.

Overall, a protection set is a great way to get the protection you need while inline skating. By following these tips, you can skate with confidence and have a safe and enjoyable experience.
